For this design problem, I had to take an area that I felt needed rebranding, create a logo, and then provide a process book to go along with it. I chose the Hawaii State Public Library and the original logo is a yellow hibiscus which represents the state's flower. I wanted to find a way to retain that floral aspect to it but also merge it with the concept of education and literature. I modified it so that it has the five petals of a hibiscus flower, however, the petals are also in shapes of books. The pictures below are a few pages from my process book.
